Where gutter nails can come loose over time these will stay put. These gutter screws are solid and provide a secure mounting of the gutter to the fascia roof joist. The ferrul is a bit flimsy in comparison to the screw so is easy to crush if the screw is over torqued. Here s a quick fix for that problem demonstrate.

Align the end of the threaded spike with the hole in the front of your gutter and push the end through by about 1 2 inch 1 3 cm. If clips or brackets hold your gutters check for broken clips and loose or missing screws. To replace gutter spikes with screws simply remove the old gutter spike and insert the screw through the existing hole in the front of the gutter. Snug the screw up to the gutter being careful not to over tighten it.
